Nine diverse DAP-talks announced for June 5 Showcase Oregon

Nine DAP-talks topics have been announced for Showcase Oregon: Activating the IDEAL Framework, scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5 in the EMU. DAP-talks are brief presentations with experts followed by facilitated conversations in small groups.

Themes for the talks were developed around issues raised by the UO Diversity Action Plans.

Topics include implicit bias, active allyship, campus climate surveys, onboarding and retention, gender equity, ducks together – ASUO, and inclusive excellence in graduate education.

In addition to speakers from across the university leading and facilitating the talks, Douglas Haynes, vice provost for Academic Equity, Diversity & Inclusion at the University of California at Irvine, will present a talk on implicit bias.
