Nominations are open for the Outstanding Research Awards

The Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation is accepting nominations for Outstanding Research Awards in the following categories:

  • Outstanding Career Award: to be awarded to up to two tenured faculty of associate or full professor rank.
  • Early Career Award: to be awarded to up to two tenure-track faculty members at the assistant professor rank.
  • Outstanding Accomplishment Award: one award for a career non-tenure-track faculty member engaged in independent research activities and another for a career non-tenure-track faculty member engaged in technical activities in support of research.
  • Innovation and Impact Award: one award for an individual or team for outstanding entrepreneurial activity.

Awardees of these categories receive a commendation — including $1,000, or $2,500 for a team in research support — a recognition memento and highlighting of their work. Nominations or self-nominations are due Friday, April 6, and should be addressed to David Conover, vice president for research and innovation, at vpri@uoregon.edu.
