OUTList kicks off Coming Out Week, LGBTQIA History Month

University of Oregon students, faculty members, staff and alumni can sign up online to be included on the 2019-20 OUTList. Names must be received by 8 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2.

Organized by the Office of the Dean of Students, the OUTList is published each year. It provides an opportunity for Ducks to publicly acknowledge and celebrate that they are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, aromantic, agender, and/or allies, or LGBTQIA+.

The list will appear as a full-page ad in the Daily Emerald during the week of Oct. 14 to correspond with National Coming Out Day on Oct. 11.

In addition to the OUTList, the LGBTQA3 Alliance student group and LGBT Education and Support Services will present a festival Friday, Oct. 11, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the EMU Green. More events will follow throughout October in honor of LGBTQIA History Month. Events can be found online on the Office of the Dean of Students website.
