Recognizing the hard work of students with UO awards

Whether in academics, leadership or service, the University of Oregon honors students’ hard work through its annual university awards program.

“The UO Division of Student Life’s honors and awards are bestowed as recognition of outstanding academic achievement, progress in community leadership and service, and a willingness to challenge conventional thought in the areas of social and cultural issues,” said Dean of Students Marcus Langford.

Students can be nominated by faculty members, staff and peers or can choose to self-nominate. Nominators should email students instructions on how to apply, detailed on the Division of Student Life website, along with the descriptions for all available awards. Students can then apply through the UO Scholarship Dashboard.

The application deadline is Friday, March 24. The University Awards Celebration will be held Thursday, May 18, to honor award recipients.

“Moving through the past few years of the pandemic side-by-side with our students, we look forward to celebrating the many successes, contributions and triumphs they’ve accomplished for themselves, their communities and their families,” Langford said.
