Run With a Researcher returns to campus each month

Starting this Saturday, Oct. 1, the UO will offer the chance for people to awaken their minds and their bodies with Run with a Researcher. The monthly runs and walks are a different way to learn about the cutting-edge research that goes on at the UO in a casual setting.

The flat 4.5-mile runs and 3.1-mile walks start at 9 a.m. at the EMU “O” desk (guest services). All paces are welcome, and the first 50 participants will receive a free “Throw Your O” T-shirt. The runs and walks will continue on the first Saturday of each month.

More than 400 people learned about the innovation, creativity and impact of UO research at Run with a Researcher during the Olympic Trials. The program was such a success that researchers and attendees requested the program continue during the academic year.
