The EMU filled with employees and their children April 27 during the nationally recognized Take Our Children to Work Day.

The Office of Human Resources hosted the event, offering activities that aligned with the theme “Count on Me.” Representatives from the University Police Department, Family and Human Services, UO Career Center, University Counseling Center and physical education and recreation joined in the event by leading activities for children age 8-12 years old.

Kids and their parents learned about detective work and career planning, created dream boards and even enjoyed a partner yoga session to inspire and encourage kids to become an adult people can count on.

Some of the afternoon activities included the opportunity to explore the campus by visiting the Museum of Natural and Cultural History and KWVA radio station, and  handle brain specimens courtesy of the Brain Development Lab.

Human resources offers this event annually. Next year’s event will take place on April 26.
