Take a minute to recognize an awardworthy OA colleague

The Officers of Administration Council is now accepting nominations for OA Star award honorees.

Each year, the Office of the President selects and recognizes officers of administration who have made an exceptional, positive contributions to the university. Honorees will be recognized this fall during a University of Oregon home football game at Autzen Stadium from a place of honor in the president’s suite.

According to an OA council representative, OAs selected as honorees distinguish themselves by applying their professional efforts for the betterment of the entire institution and the university community.

They not only excel in their positions and departments, they also embody a spirit of collegiality and vision, working with peers and partners across departmental and divisional lines. They strive for continuous improvement and look to build relationships and solutions that improve the university for all stakeholders.

Nominations can be submitted through an online Quatrics survey through 5 p.m. Aug. 21 and may include up to up to three officers of administration. A short paragraph about each nominee should address one or more of the following criteria:

  • Excellence in performance.
  • Personal interaction.
  • Initiative and creativity.
  • Commitment to fostering a more inclusive campus community.
  • Efforts that make their service to the mission of the university worthy of recognition.

Recipients will be notified via email by 5 p.m. Aug. 27.
