Topics for fall seminars include ergonomics, interpersonal skills

A variety of wellness seminars that encourage faculty and staff to focus on their well-being are scheduled this fall for benefit-eligible employees.

With topics ranging from workspace ergonomics to civil legal services, the Office of Human Resources partners with Cascade Centers, the university’s employee assistance program provider, and other campus departments to offer several wellness seminars. Each event in the series focuses on a topic related to personal well-being and is free of charge.

The Workspace Ergonomics and Safety in Motion seminar takes place this Wednesday, Oct. 30 from noon to 1 p.m. in the Erb Memorial Union Redwood Auditorium. The presentation includes techniques proven to reduce physical stress and strain and a guide for simple and practical ergonomic changes to improve the way people work in an office environment.
