Carolyn Wood's memoir recounts stories of two journeys, separated by fifty-two years, one on the road to the 1960 Rome Olympics, the other along the Camino de Santiago in 2012. Within these stories lie recollections of other passages, ones we all take from childhood to adolescence to adulthood, from friendship and love to separation and loss, from grief to joy.  She conveys the wild exuberance and dreams of youth and the tempered wisdom that develops with time and dedicated practice.
