University of Oregon Freshmen Profiles

We’re excited about our 2014 class of freshmen. They’re smart, diverse and come from all over the globe. They are so ready to be Ducks, so ready to soak up all that the college experience offers at the University of Oregon. We’ve picked some of them to profile, starting with an outstanding group of Stamps Leadership Scholars. We’ll be adding more profiles during the fall term, so be sure to check back often. 

The LaSalle Prep graduate from Happy Valley, Oregon, plans to study physics and computer science.
The freshman from Sherwood High School in Sherwood, Oregon, also won the University of Oregon’s National Merit Finalist award
The Coloradan competed in the World Triathlon Championships this fall.
The freshman from Eagle Pass, Texas, is interested in studying biology and geology, but also loves to act.
The freshman from Arizona made sure to bring a pair of rain boots to Oregon.
The Stamps Scholar from Wilsonville wants to study bio-chemistry.
The West Virginian chose Oregon because of its devoted geology major that includes the study of volcanoes
