UO announces plans for resumption of on-campus operations

With Governor Kate Brown’s executive order for higher education set to expire June 13, the University of Oregon is preparing a step-by-step, methodical approach for on-campus functions.

Beginning June 15, staff will return on a unit-by-unit basis, with priority given to departments that require on-campus access; those who conduct research or work with students, for example, will be among the first to return.

Currently, staff who are working remotely are being asked to continue doing so until their supervisor asks them to return to campus. Employees will be given the opportunity to let Human Resources know if they are unable to return campus at this time.  Summer term will take place via remote instruction, as previously announced.

Further information, including details about what the UO is doing to prepare for an in-person fall term, can be found on a new Return to Campus page on the UO’s COVID-19 response website.
