UO homepage, other websites to be briefly offline on March 28

The University of Oregon homepage and almost 150 other campus websites will be briefly unavailable on Tuesday, March 28, due to a web upgrade.

Between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m., Information Services — the UO’s central information technology department — will take each of the websites offline for about 15 minutes. The planned downtime will occur on a rolling basis throughout the scheduled window. A maintenance page will be displayed while each website is unavailable.

This work does not affect all UO websites. The affected websites include the UO homepage, admissions, human resources and many others, including Around the O.

“We planned this for a time when many students and employees would be gone, so we hope the disruption will be minimal,” said Nancy Novitski of Information Services.
