UO startup center wins NSF grant to help developing nations

A new five-year grant totaling almost $4 million will help the UO advance its program assisting developing countries improve their Internet capacity.

The grant from the National Science Foundation will boost the efforts of the Network Startup Resource Center, which provides technical assistance in regions of the world where inadequate computer connections hinder research collaborations. The program has done work in more than 100 countries.
