UO student named Active Minds Student Leader of the Year

University of Oregon student Juan Rivera was presented with the Katherine P. Dahl Student Leader of the Year award by Active Minds during its 10th National Mental Health on Campus Conference at Georgetown University from Nov. 15-17.

Selected from thousands of leaders at 400 chapters, Rivera, the president of the University of Oregon Active Minds chapter, was honored for his dedication and leadership, and for being a champion of Active Minds and all of its chapters.

Active Minds is a national nonprofit that empowers students to speak openly about mental health in order to educate others and encourage help-seeking through a growing network of hundreds of student-led chapters at colleges and universities.
