UO Trustee Willcox sets drop-in office hours for staff and OAs

Kurt Willcox, who represents faculty and staff on the Board of Trustees of the University of Oregon, will be holding drop-in office hours this month for classified staff and officers of administration.

Willcox’s term as nonfaculty and staff trustee will end June 30. He is welcoming questions from both classified staff and officers of administration who have interest in serving on the board.

Willcox also invites individuals  to drop in and talk with him about general topics related to the university. Individual trustees cannot speak on behalf of the board but are able to informally discuss their experiences and perspectives. The sessions are scheduled for:

  • Classified staff: Wednesday, Feb. 15, from noon-12:50 p.m. in Room 221, Friendly Hall.
  • Officers of administration: Friday, Feb. 17, from noon-12:50 in Room 101, Volcanology.

The deadline for applying for both the faculty and staff trustee positions is Feb. 28. Interested parties will find information on the board of trustees’ website.

Drop-in office hours for students and faculty members with their respective trustees will be announced later in the month once details are finalized.
