UO trustees provide winter term engagement opportunities

The student, faculty and nonfaculty staff representative on the University of Oregon Board of Trustees will each hold office hour sessions to hear from the campus community.

The drop-ins provide an opportunity to connect with a campus trustee, share questions and concerns, and offer feedback and ideas. In addition, those interested in discussing the student, faculty or nonfaculty staff trustee positions, which will be up for appointment following the end of the incumbents’ terms this June, are invited to attend.

Katharine Wishnia, the student trustee, will hold virtual office hours for students Thursday, Feb. 18, from noon to 1 p.m.; Wednesday, Feb. 24, from 3 to 4 p.m.; and Thursday, Feb. 25, from 3 to 4 p.m. Wishnia is an undergraduate student in the Robert D. Clark Honors College studying political science, business administration and psychology.

Laura Lee McIntyre, the faculty trustee, will hold a virtual office hour for faculty colleagues Friday, Feb. 26, from noon to 1 p.m. McIntyre is a professor and head of the Department of Special Education and Clinical Sciences.

Jimmy Murray, the nonfaculty staff trustee, is holding virtual office hours for classified staff Wednesday, Feb. 24, from noon to 1 p.m., and for officers of administration Thursday, Feb. 25, from noon to 1 p.m. Murray is a technology specialist and student coordinator with the Price Science Library.

Individuals interested in attending one of these office hours should RSVP via email to trustees@uoregon.edu to obtain login information. Members of the campus community should feel free to email the board at the same address at any time.
