Today and tomorrow, nominees to the University of Oregon's new Board of Trustees are on campus for orientation workshops that will begin to familiarize them with many aspects of the university and its organization. A similar orientation will take place in Portland in mid November. These workshops are among the many opportunities the university will provide for our prospective trustees to become broadly knowledgeable about the institution, and their roles as board members, before their authority becomes fully effective in July 2014.
