UOPD arrests man who created library disturbance

University of Oregon police arrested a man today on 13th Avenue, who had been reportedly screaming and saying that he had a gun at the Knight Library on the UO campus. The man was unarmed when arrested.

At 11:36 a.m., UOPD dispatch received multiple calls from UO library patrons who heard a white male in his 40s or 50s, creating a disturbance on the main floor and claiming he had a gun. UOPD officers arrived at 11:39 a.m., and saw the subject near 13th Avenue and Kincaid Street. The man ran west on 13th, and officers tackled him near 880 E. 13th Avenue. They found no weapon. 

Chad Brian Tudor, 43 of Eugene, was booked at Lane County Jail for disorderly conduct and interfering with police.
