UOPD holds free pepper spray classes May 10 and 11

Information on how to use pepper spray properly in self-defense has been a popular request with university police. To meet that demand, the department will host free pepper spray classes for students or employees, with options from 4 to 5 p.m. May 10 or 6 to 7 p.m. May 11.

Sessions will be held at the UO police station, 2141 E. 15th Ave., just east of campus and about a block south of the LTD EmX stop at Franklin Boulevard and Walnut Street.

Classes are free, but online registration is required.
