University of Oregon Police are offering free self-defense classes on May 11: a basic introductory class from 3-4:30 p.m. in the Living Learning Center South performance hall, followed by a pepper spray class from 5-6 p.m. at the UOPD station, 2141 E. 15th Ave. People are welcome to take either or both classes.
