UO's sexual assault prevention team posts updated progress report

The team of administrators and staff working on the UO’s sexual assault prevention and response initiatives has published a preliminary update on the status of all of the current investments and programs.

Last year the university began implementing dozens of recommendations made in reports by the Division of Student Life, a University Senate task force and the President’s Review Panel related to sexual assault prevention, response and survivor support.  The latest status update provides information about each recommendation, current progress and any new investments.

Vice President of Student Life Robin Holmes, who chairs the Title IX management team that is overseeing the work, said she’s pleased with the progress across campus.

“We have really focused on a new and enhanced slate of prevention efforts ahead of this fall term,” Holmes said. “At the same time, we are working on longer-term initiatives related to everything from how we are structured to how we serve and support students. It really is comprehensive and ongoing.”
