Volunteers are again needed to help new Ducks move in

University Housing is preparing for Unpack the Quack, the move-in experience for new and returning students living in the residence halls.

Every year, hundreds of students, faculty members and staff of the University of Oregon volunteer to help the incoming class move into the residence halls. That tradition continues this fall, and the university is hoping for record numbers of volunteers to welcome new Ducks to campus.

On Thursday, Sept. 22, and Friday, Sept. 23, volunteers will serve as representatives of the UO as they help students unload vehicles and move into their new campus homes. Current students, faculty members, staff, or community members are welcome to participate.

Anyone who would like to volunteer will need to register. All volunteers who sign up for at least one shift will receive a shirt to wear during move-in and a meal voucher at the end of their shift, to be used at any University Dining venue.

Unpack the Quack volunteer information and registration is now available. Registration will close at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16.
