Winter term virtual office hours scheduled for three UO trustees

Three members of the Board of Trustees at the University of Oregon will hold virtual office hours during the next several weeks.

Student trustee, Julia Lo, will hold two virtual office hours open to all undergraduate and graduate students on Wednesday, Feb. 23, from 9 to 10 a.m., and on Monday, Feb. 28, from 4 to 5 p.m. Lo is a junior at the Clark Honors College, majoring in biology and minoring in business administration. She joined the board in July 2021.

Jimmy Murray, the nonfaculty staff member on the board, will have virtual office hours with officers of administration from noon to 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 28, and with classified staff from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2. Murray is a technology specialist and student coordinator with the Price Science Library and has been with the university for 18 years.

Faculty trustee, Ed Madison, who began his service on the board in July 2021, will hold a virtual office hour for faculty colleagues Tuesday, March 1, from 11 a.m. to noon. Madison is associate professor within the School of Journalism and Communication, and also serves as executive director of the Journalistic Learning Initiative, a nonprofit that applies journalistic strategies to improve students’ academic outcomes in under-served communities.
