Summer in Eugene

Welcome to Our Town

There’s something special about Eugene—or, actually, a lot of somethings. Where we are says a lot about who we are. Nestled in the Willamette Valley, it's an easy drive to both the Pacific Ocean and the Cascade Mountains. This place feels familiar and friendly, and it's most definitely green.

This is our ecosystem. It inspires us and drives our innovation. It’s no surprise, sustainability is in our DNA. So is good coffee and fresh, local food. From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel at home.

In the Heart of the Pacific Northwest

With the outdoors at our backdoor, being active isn’t an afterthought. It’s part of our lifestyle.

We run on Pre’s Trail, roll along the river paths, and hike Spencer Butte and Mount Pisgah.

We trek through forests, climb up rocks, ski down mountains, float on rivers, and play along the beaches on the weekends.

We’re immersed in nature, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Embracing Art, Culture, and Identities

Eugene is alive with music, culture, art, and just the right amount of weird to keep things interesting. Our museums will spark your curiosity, while galleries feed your inner critic.

Festivals celebrate our identities and cultures, because our community is at its best when we affirm, respect, and support our uniqueness along with the common threads that tie us together.

Foodies Wanted

Rich soil, ample sunshine, and just the right amount of rain make our valley a culinary cornucopia of all things delicious and good. We love our farm-to-fork (and field-to-fermenter) experiences, enjoying locally grown food and beverages.

Despite this bounty, we recognize that some among us still go hungry, and work to combat food insecurity in our community.
