Nominees sought for outstanding student awards

Nominations are now open for the annual outstanding student awards at the UO.

Multiple awards will be given, and faculty and staff are encouraged to submit nominations. The deadline for nominations is midnight March 6, and the awards ceremony will be held May 21.

The nomination process is straightforward and can be completed using a Qualtics survey. Log in with a Duck ID and password to fill out the form; up to 10 students can be nominated per form, and multiple forms can be submitted to nominate additional students.

Nominators are asked to include a short statement on why the student is being nominated, and the statements will be shared with the student. Anonymous nominations are accepted.

The highly competitive awards honor student leaders across campus who, in addition to being academically outstanding, serve in leadership and service positions. Those who are chosen for the major university awards generally are students who lead or coordinate initiatives, activities and programs that benefit the campus community.

The university also honors the top 100 students who, in addition to being outstanding academically, have been highly involved in activities on campus and may have been considered for major awards. These students receive the Centurion Award.

A full list of the honors and awards and additional information is available on the Division of Student Life website.
