SEIU declares impasse in bargaining with Oregon's public universities

Oregon's public universities are currently in negotiations with the Service Employees International Union. After three mediation sessions, the parties have not reached a tentative agreement, and SEIU declared impasse on Feb. 23.

If they do not reach agreement during a fourth mediation session on Feb. 26, both parties will submit final offers by March 1 and a 30-day cooling-off period will begin. Information about the bargaining timeline is available on the HR website. Details on the universities' and SEIU's offers are available on the University Shared Services Enterprise website.
