UO named to national Top 25 list of LGBTQ-inclusive universities

The University of Oregon has been named to the Top 25 list of the most LGBTQ-friendly campuses by Campus Pride, a national organization for student leaders and campus groups.

The UO scored 4.5 out of 5 on the Campus Pride Index, a measure of LGBTQ-inclusive policies, programs and practice. The list includes both public and private universities of any size.

Universities are not ranked and instead are listed alphabetically. The only other Oregon school on the list is Southern Oregon University, and the only other Northwest school is the University of Washington.

Campus Pride uses a variety of factors to produce the list. The UO ranked no lower than four out of five in any of 10 categories, and was 5 out of 5 in three.

The full list and additional information is available on the Campus Pride website.
