Northern Great Basin Prehistory Project

DUST OFF YOUR CURIOSITY

Every summer, students and faculty in the UO's archaeology field school in Eastern Oregon continue our pioneering investigation of early human migration with the Northern Great Basin Prehistory Project. Students in the program do significant original scientific research that has led to landmark discoveries about the earliest human inhabitants of what is now Oregon. Students and faculty are continuing a tradition of summer field research by Oregon scientists that dates back to the 1930s. At Oregon, it’s all about curiosity, discovery, and the search for answers to our most compelling questions.
