Knight Library features exhibit of Alan Turing, "founder of computer science"
An exhibit showcasing the accomplishments of Alan Turing is on display in the cases located at the east and west entryway corridors in the Knight Library.
The exhibit, which will run through April, is entitled “Alan Turing- the Founder of Computer Science.”
The exhibit highlights Turing’s work successfully breaking Nazi Enigma codes during World War II and his work developing mathematical models in biology in the area of morphogenesis at Manchester University.
The exhibit includes photos of Turing, the machines he worked with and the shelter he worked in during World War II.
The exhibit was curated by Science Librarian Dean Walton.
