Department of Parking and Transportation … on the move

The Department of Parking and Transportation is, well, moving.

That’s not surprising, perhaps, given the nature of the department. But the department is also actually moving, to a new location on the east side of campus.

In an effort to better serve customers, the department is moving to 1401 Walnut St., at an EMX stop across from Dutch Bros. Coffee on Franklin Boulevard and directly accessible to bike paths.

The primary entrance to the new building is on the south side, where visitor parking is located. Email and phone numbers remain the same: parking.uoregon.edu and 541-346-5444.

The move begins Monday, June 10, and the office will remain open and available during normal business hours, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The move will be complete by Monday, June 17.

During the move week, the department kiosk on 13th Street will have visitor permits and Faculty/Staff Daily Parking passes available for those would like to avoid the office altogether by getting permits there. Staff will be available for key returns during move out at the Straub facilities.

The month of June will be busy for Straub Hall, with other departments also moving out.
