Executive Academic Searches

The University of Oregon is recruiting for the positions of Vice President for Research and Innovation, and for deans of the College of Arts and Sciences, the Lundquist College of Business, the School of Architecture and Allied Arts, and the School of Journalism and Communication.

Finalists for each of these positions will be on campus for two-day visits in March and April. Candidates will meet with constituent groups in their respective schools, colleges or units and with executive academic leadership. Each candidate will also make presentations to the campus community and take questions in an open forum. Details on the candidates and their campus schedules will be released three days in advance of each visit here and on the Office of the Provost website.

The final candidate presentation is Friday for the School of Journalism and Communication.

W. Andrew Marcus is the second candidate to be interviewed and make a public presentation in the search for a new dean for the College of Arts and Sciences.
The first candidates for deans of CAS, A&AA, SOJC and LCB will be on campus March 28-30 for interviews and presentations.
With four dean searches underway, candidates for all of them could be on campus at the same time in the weeks following spring break.
All four finalists for vice president for research and innovation will make campus visits this month into early March to meet with the campus community.
