Kevin Van Den Wymelenberg leaves the University of Idaho to take over the UO research facility founded in 1977 by G.Z. Brown.
The design was honored by the Industrial Design Society of America in the furniture and lighting category of an international competition.
The school's Output Room provides a variety of specialized printing services at reasonable cost to the university community.
Faste, an assistant professor in the Product Design Program in the School of Architecture and Allied Arts, joined the UO faculty in 2010.
The painted steel sculpture by a late UO faculty member is on the Memorial Quad between Prince Lucien Campbell and Condon halls.
