The biannual ASUO Street Faire welcomes Eugene campus to fall

It’s that time of the year again where the usual class traffic on East 13th Avenue in Eugene is replaced by booths with sweet treats, activities, posters and more.

This fall's ASUO Street Faire will be the most expansive yet. The biannual event will kick off Wednesday, Oct. 11, and run through Friday, Oct. 13. The fair will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., transforming the stretch between University and Kincaid streets into a bustling hub of excitement in the heart of campus.

True to tradition, fair-goers can expect to see many of the regular attractions, such as the street food, activities to win prizes, local art, and a variety of booths with curated thrifty finds.

Cash Kowalski, ASUO engagement director, has been one of the students involved in the planning of this fall’s street faire. “Being part of the planning team is incredibly rewarding and allows me to contribute to the vibrant campus culture that makes the UO feel like home for so many students,” Kowalski said.

Kowalski and the rest of the team behind the faire have expanded the selection of food options, student organization booths, and interactive tables. The planning team hopes the range of offerings will attract more students and members of the university community to the campus event.

“It's heartwarming to see so many students, faculty and locals coming together on 13th Avenue and experiencing everything the faire has to offer,” Kowalski said.
