Black Panther co-founder Bobby Seale to speak Thursday

Bobby Seale, co-founder of the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense, will visit the UO Thursday, April 21, to take part in a panel discussion commemorating the 50th anniversary of the party’s founding.

The event takes place at 6:30 p.m. in Room 156, Straub Hall.

Prior to the discussion, a Revolutionary Art and Culture Workshop with Mic Crenshaw and Greg Jung Morozumi will explore the role of poetry, music and other arts in community organizing. Refreshments will be served.

The workshop is from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Mills Center of the Erb Memorial Union.
