Charitable Fund Drive underway for UO employees

Each year, state and university employees from all over Oregon participate in the Oregon Employee's Charitable Fund Drive, which helps nonprofits and other organizations across the state provide goods and services to Oregonians who need them most.

The drive is split into two donor sections: state employees and university employees.

University of Oregon employees can donate online for a one-time donation or monthly payroll deduction. This year, the university employee campaign is Nov. 1-30. Donations will still be accepted through the end of December.

A comprehensive list of charities and nonprofits that are supported by the drive is available on the State of Oregon’s website. Donors may specify which organization they’d like their money to go to.

To date, UO employees have donated over 85 percent of the total contributions received from university employees statewide.

Started in 1989, the Oregon Employee's Charitable Fund Drive helps more than 800 Oregon nonprofits each year. In 2018, UO employees contributed more than $132,234 to the drive.
