Public health officials are conducting contact tracing and monitoring for individuals associated with this positive case. This individual had minimal contact with the campus community. The University of Oregon is providing information about positive COVID-19 test results for students and employees within the UO community who have accessed university facilities within 14 days of being tested.
  • The Oregon Health Authority issued new guidance today for the conduct of in-person instructional, residential, and research activities at Oregon colleges and universities. Institutions have flexibility to determine how and when students return, based on local circumstances and regional readiness, provided they meet the minimum public health requirements. The university is continuing with our planning for a responsible and safe to return to in-person, on-campus instruction, in compliance and coordination with federal, state, and local orders and guidance. Visit Return to Campus for more information on planning for fall term.

REMINDERS:

  • In accordance with Oregon Health Authority guidelines, effective June 15, face coverings will be required for faculty, staff, students, visitors, and vendors inside buildings owned and operated by UO. The UO will make face coverings available to those who need them, and individuals may choose to wear their own personal face coverings. Accommodations and exemptions will be made where necessary and coverings are not needed if working alone in an office or room.
  • The fall class schedule and priority registration information for students was made available on June 1. Students received an email providing details about when they can register for fall term and encouraging them to contact their academic advisors.
  • Posters and signs to promote safe distancing and other healthy reminders have been created as a resource for university departments in preparation for a safe return to in-person activities on campus this fall. The signs are available for digital download in print and screen resolutions.
