Employees are asked to volunteer to help with commencement

University of Oregon employees who are able are asked to volunteer to help with this year’s commencement ceremonies on Tuesday, June 20.

Commencement organizers say volunteers are key to making this year’s event enjoyable for students, their families and the campus community. Tasks include organizing graduates during the procession to Autzen Stadium, helping with guest shuttles between Autzen and campus, assisting graduates and guests at the main celebration and school and college ceremonies, and more.

Those who are able to volunteer are asked to sign up online. Those who complete the form will receive a confirmation email with a Zoom link and dates for required training.

The main celebration at Autzen is at 9 a.m.; gates will open at 7:30 a.m. The event will last about 90 minutes. Schools and colleges, along with some departments and programs, will have individual ceremonies in the afternoon.
