Fall Presidential Research Lecture to be presented tonight (Oct. 30)

The University of Oregon's fall 2013 Presidential Research Lecture will be presented beginning at 7 p.m. today at 182 Lillis Hall by Edward J. Kame'enui, Dean Knight Professor of Education and founding director of the UO's Center on Teaching and Learning.

Kame'enui's talk on the "architecture of instruction" is free and open to the public. It will also be live-streamed online.

Kame'enui wrote about the same subject – the importance of the materials that teachers use in schools in preparing our children for academic success – in a commentary piece that appeared in Monday's Register-Guard.

Introductory remarks at the research lecture will be made by UO President Michael Gottfredson.
