Mill race water flows to be interrupted for work on banks

Crews working on the Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact are expected to stop water flows in the millrace over the next few days.

The temporary stoppage allows for a six -to eight-day window during which crews will remove brush along banks between Riverfront Parkway and Onyx Street, establish erosion controls and construct temporary access to the north side of the Knight Campus construction site.

The work on the bank is focused on the south side of the millrace. No impact to vehicle or pedestrian traffic is anticipated. Construction and traffic updates are posted on the Knight Campus website, while progress on the site can be viewed in real time via a web cam.
