Senate seeks award nominations

The University of Oregon Senate is requesting nominations for two awards with April deadlines: the Classified Staff Leadership Award and the Wayne T. Westling Award.

The Classified Staff Leadership Award is given to a classified staff member who is an agent for change and continues to make a difference through actions and collaborative relationships in a complex organization.

The award also recognizes individuals who demonstrate leadership in advancing the issues of classified staff on campus. The three leadership categories are personal and professional development in the areas of education, culture and international awareness; respectful work environment, which includes building a collaborative relationship between management, faculty, staff and students; and diversity, which includes demonstrating a commitment to make a difference and to creating equal opportunity and freedom from discrimination.
