Stamps Scholar Husam Zaidan

High school and hometown: Wilsonville High School, Wilsonville

My biggest academic accomplishment so far: Being voted as "Smartest" and "Best Student" by Senior Class

My academic interests include: Math, Chemistry, Biology, and Medicine.

What I like to do for fun: Play tennis, watch movies, and hang out with friends.

People might be surprised to know: I can juggle.

The one thing I’m most nervous about: Taking a class in a lecture hall with 200+ other students.

The one thing I’m most excited about: Meeting a ton of new people and making life-long friends.

I chose Oregon because: The campus is awesome, academic opportunities are plentiful, and it's close to home.

Scholarships I've received include: The Stamps Scholarship, The Kaiser Permanente Health Care Career Scholarship

When I think of Oregon: I think of rain.

The one key piece of rain gear I must bring to campus: My umbrella

The thing about college I'm most looking forward to is: All of the new experiences that are ahead of me!
