UO Board of Trustees to meet on campus June 3-4

The Board of Trustees of the University of Oregon will convene for its next quarterly meeting June 3-4 in the Lee Barlow Giustina Ballroom of the Ford Alumni Center on the Eugene campus. 

On Day 1, trustees will receive quarterly financial and treasury reports, consider action on fiscal year 2025 budget and expenditure authority, make a technical adjustment to fiscal year 2024 tuition and fee table, hear a report on East Campus Housing, and take action on an adjustment to fiscal year 2024 budget authority. 

In addition, the board will hear a recommendation on naming residence hall building C on Agate Street and receive an internal audit report from the consulting firm Deloitte & Touche.  

After lunch with Oregon Pathway students, board members will hear reports from Karen Ford, interim provost, and Chris Poulsen, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.  

Laura Lee McIntyre, dean of the College of Education, and Dianna Carrizales-Engelmann, assistant dean for administration, will provide an update on the Institutional Plan for Educator Equity in Teacher Preparation.  

The board will get an update on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, commonly known as FAFSA, from Roger Thompson, vice president for Student Services and Enrollment Management, and Jim Brooks, director of financial aid and scholarships.  

On Day 2, after a public comment period, the board will hear standing reports from the Associated Students of the University of Oregon, the University Senate and President Karl Scholz. 

Bob Guldberg, vice president of the Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact, will join Chris Poulsen, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, and Anshuman Razdan, vice president for research and innovation, to report on the UO’s work on semiconductors and the related workforce.
