University of Oregon Athletics and the Office of Sustainability are planning to collect recyclable plastics from community members between 2 and 5 p.m. April 6 at PK Park, the UO baseball field on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

The UO Plastics Round-Up will be part of Lane County’s larger event that day. Volunteers will collect pre-cleaned and prepped plastics, specifically Nos. 2, 4 and 5 tubs, jars, bottles, lids and beverage handles. The plastics must be clean and dry, and any decals or adhesive labels must be removed. Organizers are asking for more volunteers to help out during the roundup via this online form.
