UO employees lead the way in annual Charitable Fund Drive

Each year, state and university employees from all over Oregon participate in the Charitable Fund Drive, which helps nonprofits and other organizations across the state provide goods and services to Oregonians who need them most.

The drive is split into two donor sections: state employees and university employees.

University of Oregon employees can donate in person or online. This year, the state university employee campaign began Oct. 15 and runs through Jan. 31 — although University Advancement is facilitating a two-week push for donations within that time frame.

UO Advancement’s drive started  Dec. 4 and will run through midnight Friday, Dec. 18. However, donations will still be accepted through the end of January.

So far this year, UO employees have donated $137,737 (386 donations) of the overall university employee donations of $225,840 (555 donations). For up-to-date information on funds raised in 2015, click here.

Since 1989, the Charitable Fund Drive helps more than 800 Oregon nonprofits each year and has raised around $25.2 million overall. In 2014, state and university employees contributed more than $863,000 to the drive.
