UO teachers in AEI make presentations

Teachers from 26 countries participating in the University of Oregon American English Institute will make short presentations today (Nov. 4) and Nov. 5 in Room 115 of Pacific Hall.

The presentations are the final activity of the teachers’ 2.5-week stay at the university. They will present portions of activities from the two-hour workshops they will deliver in their home countries.

The presentations run from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. today – Monday, Nov. 4 – and from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 5.

Presentations can also be streamed to your computer.

A farewell reception for the group runs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 5 the in Knight Library Browsing Room.

“The reception will be a colorful, international event,” said Wendy Ames, AEI marketing director.

The institute, as an accredited program of the Department of Linguistics, serves the educational mission of the university through scholarship, English language instruction and English language professional training.
