Weaving New Beginnings marks another year of welcoming students, staff and faculty members of color and their allies at the University of Oregon.

Now in its 28th year, the annual networking event will be held Oct. 19 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Receptions are scheduled for the Erb Memorial Union ballroom on the Eugene campus and in White Stag 144 at UO Portland. Those who cannot attend in person can access the event via the UO YouTube Channel.

The welcome speaker will be Dean of Students Marcus Langford. Jimmy Howard, associate dean of students at the UO, will present the keynote address.

Preregistration is required to receive the YouTube link, and RSVPs are recommended for in-person attendees. A signup form is available on the Office of the Dean of Students website.
