Three alumni from the Oregon Executive MBA program were honored at the Portland Business Journal’s annual CFO Awards luncheon on May 16 at the Governor Hotel in Portland.

Karen Shepard of St. Charles Health Systems, Doug Shafer of iovation, Inc., and Mick Reynolds of Pacific Continental Bank were all finalists, with Doug and Karen taking top honors among the medium companies and nonprofits categories, respectively.

The annual awards recognize Portland-area business people for their financial acumen.

As the Lundquist College of Business’s Portland portal, the Oregon Executive MBA program provides accomplished executives the opportunity to hone their skills by working with faculty with real-world expertise and using the University of Oregon’s business research and network.

Students typically include mid-career executives positioning for advancement and high-potential managers tapped by their organizations as future leaders. The 20-month program provides cross-disciplinary expertise to approach business challenges, threats and opportunities.
