Bernstein piano works performed by UO's Dossin continue to earn praise

UO piano professor Alexandre Dossin continues to hit high notes among reviewers for his latest recording, a collection of pieces by American composer Leonard Bernstein titled “Thirteen Anniversaries.”

The work was praised by reviewer Jed Distler in the July issue of Gramophone and by Raymond Beegle in Fanfare. Beegle said Dossin’s “luminous, expansive playing is a great delight from the beginning to the end of this disc.”

The recording is a series of vignettes published between 1944 and 1989 that Bernstein wrote to celebrate friends, colleagues and family members. For a full story and links to reviews, see “More Good News for Dossin’s Bernstein” on the School of Music and Dance website.
