Kids can swim, climb and play at Duck Trails camp

Opportunities for fitness and fun abound in this year’s UO Duck Trails Spring Break Camp, where camp staff are “looking to make every day the best day ever,” said Trish Dorman, physical education and recreation assistant director for youth and family.

From March 21-25 on the UO campus, kids ages 5-11 will be able to swim every day, go rock climbing and do other activities with the supervision of the day camp staff, which is made up of UO students.

“The staff is what really sets us apart from other camps that’ll be happening in Eugene,” Dorman said. “The students display great energy and enthusiasm with the kids, and they’re also really excellent role models during the camp too.”

Registration for the camp ends March 18 at noon, and parents or guardians can sign their children up for the camp online or by visiting the UO Student Recreation Center service desk. Fees are between $165 and $175 depending on the applicant’s affiliation with the UO.

Camp sessions start at 8:30 a.m. and finish at 4:30 p.m.
